AFAIK there are not much assurers in Italy. At least in northern Italy
you should find some. If you come to Swiss or Germany, you should easier
find assurers. Maybe you could meet assurers travelling to Italy. You
can ask in 
cacert AT lists.cacert.org
 and 
cacert-de AT lists.cacert.org

Programs with Trusted Third Parties (TTP) are frozen at present. They
will be coming back in some time. But I cannot tell you how long it will
last.
