Greg,
> Did anyone ever respond?
No, unfortunately nobody responded to the OCSP review task yet.
But we have someone who tries to take care of the NetMonitor now! (Thanks!)
Additionally, I would like to announce a new task for our list:
CAcert wants to be able to opensource the CAcert codebase in the future.
We need someone to review the current codebase both for licensing issues and
for security issues. Nothing has been decided by the board in that direction
yet, but I guess that the topic might arise in the future, and I currently
see the problem that even if we had a decision, we wouldn´t be able to
execute it within a reasonable timeframe. So we should start preparing the
codebase to get from impossible to possible.
If anyone is interested in that task, please contact me directly. (People
with
a CAcert security clearance are preferred)
By the way, another project I forgot to announce here:
http://wiki.cacert.org/wiki/UnicodeTaskForce
We need Unicode specialists to make CAcert Unicode-ready.
(Which is a bigger task for a CA due to Punicode and other weird things, than
it might seem)
Best regard,
Philipp Gühring
