as Uli said most of the information is summarized on the Wiki page.
Progress is somewhat slow at the moment as all involved parties seem to
be busy with projects in their professional work.

Last week I have mastered to emulate the serial connection between the
web frontend and the signing server. After we have setup the signing
server I we can also accept patches that involves signing of the requests.
