Hi People,

As some of you already know I'm currently working on my study thesis
titled “The Influence of the Architectural Style on Security, Using the
Example of a Certification Authority” where the example used is CAcert.
Hopefully one of the by-products of this thesis will be a more detailed
design for a future CAcert core system.

Most of you will know about the past effort which was called BirdShack
but unfortunately the development there has stalled. One of the reasons
why I think this has happened is that the design which was done was a
good idea but not detailed enough (which is still a lot for only a week
of work).

So what I'm trying to do is taking up the good stuff from BirdShack and
current needs in other areas and have another go at it hopefully now
resulting in a more sustainable effort.

Now what do I need from *you*?

I have put together a requirements document trying to be as complete as
possible but I most certainly have missed something that you need to
make your life easier. This is your chance to have a look at it and tell
me what I could add. Adding features later on is probably still possible
but will be a lot more of an effort than just respecting it in the
design phase.
