Can you give me a citeable reference to your work, for my work?

That will be kind of hard as those are not formally published anywhere.
Once it's finished I could upload them so you at least have an URL but
still that's not like a scientifically hard reference. For the moment
even the thesis is not ready so the following BibTeX reference would fit:

@mastersthesis{Taenzer2012,
        author = {Michael T{\"a}nzer},
        note = {Work in progress},
        school = {Karlsruhe Institute of Technology},
        title = {The Influence of the Architectural Style on Security, Using
the Example of a Certification Authority},
        type = {Study Thesis},
        year = {2012}
}

ok, that's perfect. It doesn't matter for my work if the reference is imprecise, I simply say that I reviewed it for ideas. The nature of risks is that one doesn't need to directly cite the source of any given risk because the risk is found in the business problem.

I don't know how well the term "study thesis" fits. The problem with
different school/university systems is that there is no 1-on-1
translation. It essentially is a scientific paper on an topic that you
can choose to be admitted for writing the diploma thesis. It is not
based on a course or seminar or anything it's really like a small
diploma thesis but does not directly lead to a degree. "Senior thesis"
or "student research paper" are also candidates.

Yeah. (offtopic) I did hear a rumour that the German academic system was moving towards more of the the anglo uni model, is that true?
