The patches have been installed

First of all, thank you. Much appreciated!

Now, please pardon my ignorance of your processes, but does all of this mean that if I generate a new certificate on the normal production server, it will now be done with the patches in place?

Yes that is how it works.

The software guys code the bug fix, then it gets tested on the test server. Once no errors can be found any more the code gets a final review and then is moved to the productive system so  that the bug is fixed.

What you can do is help in testing on the other bug fixes as well.
