The software was intended to be provided compatible to the current
CAcert Source Code licence.

The software is not used on any CAcert systems.
There is a repository at
https://github.com/CAcertOrg/cacert-cassiopeia
https://github.com/CAcertOrg/cacert-gigi
which both only cover the most basic repository setup. Referenced
repositories in that network are personal repositories of the authors.
The only source code referenced in there has long been replaced and
amended non-trivially by the authors mentioned in my previous mail. Thus
all rights on the current code are with the authors, who took this
decision to not offer or grant a licence to the CAcert Community and
CAcert Inc. any more.
There currently is no active licence to Cassiopeia or Gigi to CAcert;
there only was the offer based on the GPLv2 which has - given this
decision was amended to not apply to CAcert anymore.
This decision can be backed by German copyright law, because the authors
retain the right to choose whom they are giving out licences to.
The use of CAcert's trademarks and other protected works, resulting from
the initial intent for this software being used in the context of
CAcert, will be resolved by removing such references by the authors
ASAP. We'll notify as soon as that cleanup is performed.

No such decision is needed as CAcert currently does not have such
licence, and given this decision will - at the current time - not
receive such licence as noted in the previous mails. This item is purely
to be acknowledged by the current committee and stated on the public
lists for maximum transparency.
