Hello gentlemen!

Sorry, it was indeed Michael Tänzer those days, who gave me the access to https://translations.cacert.org.

(And I am indeed not on the list "cacert-devel". I am just an user of the Pootle.)

Possibly also Marcus Maengel or Werner Dworak should know something about the topic.

Pootle seems to have a new look with old credentials preserved (and a small error at login, you have to write your credentials every time you log in). Is it the last work of Michael Tänzer?

Best Regards

Aleš Kastner

Hi Karl-Heinz,

sorry, I cannot tell you much about the translation server at https://translations.cacert.org/ beyond the information from https://wiki.cacert.org/Translations and https://wiki.cacert.org/SystemAdministration/CertificateList#translations.cacert.org . AFAIK Michael Tänzer has retired from CAcert, so I'm afraid he'll not be able to help us any more.

It seems that Ales has worked with the system recently, so I added him as CC, as I do not know if he's on this list. Maybe he can at least point us to someone who gave him access...

So, do I get you right that you're working on the CATS code so CATS can use the data created by translations.cacert.org?

I'd greatly appreceate this (the current file based approach is indeed a pain in the ..., aehm, not the optimal solution), but beside the pure technical implementation we'll have to define some processes, for example how reviews can be documented, how new "releases" can be distributed and such things. Do you already know Pootle well enough to make some proposals in this direction?

Kind regards
Ted
