to be accepted, I am writing this from inside Sympa, but that does not allow
"quoting!" )

Yes, I took your list of scripts ( version[0-7].sh ) to create that version of
the database, so that was where "temp" came from.

I have always tended to write my code with "long" start tags. My development
system is also using a more modern ( 7.0 and 7.3 ) version of PHP which does
not work with short tags.

Laravel has code incorporated to do database maintenance, and I have had other
projects where similar PHP code was either home-built or included.

I guess that I saw my "sample users" as being a test-only addition, and not
part of a production database. We can work out details.

Thank you for the suggestion of a starting branch. I will use that and re-
make the changes that I made and try to make it work in my machine.

Do we have a "spare" test server that I could use to better reproduce our
environment?
