In the below, I'm trying to create the environment whereby our many thousands of Members are empowered to go out and and work with our NRPs -- their users -- so as to offer, install, assist, etc.  I've also modified it recently to incorporate a clearer view of licences, following the RH debate.

================
Alice-And-Bob-Licence

This is a licence between Alice, being a Member of the CAcert Community, and Bob, being a person assisted by Alice for secure use of the Internet, but otherwise unrelated to CAcert (Non-Related Person or NRP).

Licence for Alice.

Alice, you may assist NRPs such as Bob to use the Internet securely.  You may distribute CAcert's root and your own certificates to Bob.  You may assist Bob to install roots and to adjust software settings for proper secure operation.

In so doing, you offer to Bob a licence to use your certificate and you forward CAcert's offer to use the root.

Alice, you may charge a fee for this service but are not encouraged to do so.  If you do, you must disclose the fee in advance and record that fee.  (An ideal way to do this is on a CAP form that records at least a zero-point Assurance with the agreement adjusted to this Alice-And-Bob-Licence.)

Alice, in this and other acts in assisting Bob and other NRPs, you are bound by and are reminded of your CCA, the CAcert Principles, and the knowledge that the Arbitrator will pursue you to the ends of the earth.  You are our Ambassador to the world, make us proud.

Licence for Bob

Bob, you may install the root in your software to permit that software to operate properly for your use of the certificates.  This Licence to use the roots comes from CAcert Inc.

You understand that Alice offers you a Licence to use her certificates, and such help as she can do so on a "best efforts" basis.

If you take on any risk or liability that is related to your use of certificates, you must do your own due diligence, and take on that risk or liability entirely by yourself.  You must identify Alice as being a Member of the CAcert Community.

Legals

Disclaimer.  Bob, you must read and love the following  BIG BOILERPLATE

Disputes.  Alice and Bob, you both agree to refer all disputes arising out of this licence or related to CAcert certificates to a CAcert Arbitrator.  /Insert normal rules/

Joining CAcert.  Bob, at any time you may join CAcert by agreeing to the CAcert Community Agreement. This licence then terminates at that point, except for the Arbitration clause, and is replaced by the CCA thereafter.

Termination.  Bob, you may terminate this agreement by removing all certificates and roots, and notifying Alice.

Alice, you may unilaterally terminate this agreement by filing dispute with the Arbitrator.
