All,

From the previous thread on "offer of infrastructure servers" we identified 
that 
there are a number of non-critical services that CAcert has external offers 
of 
hosting potentially capable of meeting the service requirements. Wytze also 
mentioned that migrating existing services out of critical infrastructure has 
advantages[9].

In addition to our existing infrastructure, the following services could 
utilize offered infrastructure:

Trouble Ticket System [1]
Wiki [2]
OpenID services(??) [5]
CRL mirrror[7]
Ternary DNS???[8]
Admin Interface (Puppet?)
Backup Services[6]
Web Forum Software[10]
Test servers[1]
Testsystem Image (and supporting infrastructure) [3][4]
Backup MX??? [6]

So what requirements do you look for in remotely managed servers? Having 
never 
done this I'm going to take a guess and everyone can fill in the blanks.
1. static IPs
2. HA - especially for the 8 or so services
3. remote ssh access to hardware or host OS sufficient to restart hard hung 
services
4. written offer covering all services and conditions
5. high bandwidth to close hardware independent redundancy for DR
6. sufficient network bandwidth and minimum latency
7. flexibility to deploy a semi-standard infrastructure - Debian at least
8. reasonably stable/professional business.
9. local response time for non-remotely fixable errors.

Any volunteers for the above please make yourself known.
