Hi all.
You don't need an AS number
You can have your own PI space that's how hcc hobby does it.
HCC has is ripe member hans has is own /21 and we asked BIT to announce our
routes
You need to know the adres space you get is bounded to region in the
netherland its ripe region
In the usa you have another region
With its at moment cheaper to become ripe member then to get PI space.

Onderwerp: PI space, AS numbers?
It was suggested to me that:
==========
Get Provider Independent address space, PI space, that will give you at
least a /24 of v4 address space, and allow you to move the IPs between
hosting providers.
Get an AS - Autonomous System Number, this allows you to announce BGP
routes to your network. Do Anycast.
==========
Anyone got any views on this?
