The data will be copied, the old drives do not fit in the new server
(IDE versus SATA). The migration plan is somewhat documented in
http://wiki.cacert.org/wiki/SystemAdministration/Systems/Signer
(under "Migration to new hardware").
The old drives will be left at the hosting facility until we are sure
of correct operation of the new server in real life. Then a new visit
will be scheduled to wipe the old drives and prepare them for physical
destruction.
