FWIW:

The green doesn't bother me too much.
Contrast and more importantly colour differentiation for the colour-blind is another matter.

I'd say leave it unless it turns out the colour-blind can't read the text.

However, I do find the black text "CAcert wiki" underneath/through/interwoven on the logo annoying.

Yes, it still needs some work. So cacert style actually is my working copy. Do not expect it to be fine right now.

I tried to stick to the CAcert colors. But as you noticed this does not work out well. Will try to find some "intermediate colors" for this.
Maybe add some colors to be used for this (and for example graphics) to the style guide.

Anyhow, once this is fixed, next steps:
*   Inform community to test and give feedback.
