- Subject: emergency visit BIT
- Date: Sun, 26 Jun 2011 10:54:09 +0200
Hi all,
Hans Verbeek and me are going to visit BIT today (Sunday June 26) at 11:30
to fix an emergency. After the disk troubles of sun2, a completely unrelated
problem has popped up: the Linksys "High" switch, responsible for connecting
all infrastructure services to the firewall, appears to have died -- ethernet
interfaces on all connecting servers went down at the same time this morning
(09:40 CEST). We will try to fix the problem by replacing the switch by an
old 3Com switch I have at home (unused right now, though I'd like to start
using it again ...).
By the way, ns1.cacert.org is also down due to this, it should have been
migrated to the Linksys "Medium" network, but that migration has not been
completed yet :-(. Fortunately, webdb, crl and ocsp are unaffected, since
they are all on other switches/servers.
Regards,
-- wytze
