Hi Jan,

Am 28.06.2011 09:54, schrieb Jan Dittberner:
did you have any trouble with lxc-setup or the documentation I wrote?
I'm open for suggestions to improve both if necessary.

lxc-setup worked fine, after I figured out it is best to just checkout the whole svn dir and move to infra01. All the templates for debconf seem to be required in any case, but I was only creating stub containers. But we can just keep it on /root on infra01 imho. I had to install some libs for python as well, not too hard, but was wondering why they were not installed.

I also should read some documentation on lxc, still wondering how to get the console (and to get rid of it) when starting the container detached. With vservers I could get into the system without a password, not sure how this is with lxc, if I had a console, I had to enter username / password. Another thing is I am wondering about is, if I need to change something or if I am allowed to user halt and reboot to shutdown or restart a container.

But that worked out somehow so far, but some education still needed.

What I am most unclear about is, what to change on the file system for using the system with lxc. I used the script from the LXC Tutorial to create a new /dev, deleted some scripts regarding devices and system clock - but still unsure what to keep and what do purge. I also had to adjust hostname and network stuff, but mostly copied this from svn.
