Not sure about efficiency and security compared to vserver. Security is 
not that important for infrastructure, but should be comparable at least.
Vserver is discontinued in debian, so we need a replacement. Looking at 
available hardware resources, lxc seemed best suited, because it does 
not add the overhead of reserving memory for a virtual machine and also 
does not run an extra operating system like e.g. VMware, VirtualBox, kvm.
