Yes sure LXC is pretty right. And a good opportunity for education.

I am more Ubuntu aware and missed the Debian deprecation of vserver,
Ubuntu 11.04 seems to have some vserver packages (maintained by Ubuntu
Dev people) and
http://www.linux-vserver.org/Welcome_to_Linux-VServer.org seems to
mention the lastest kernel. But development seems to be stalled.
