So you've made a decision, yet you play games pretending that
the decision is still up for grabs. And you wonder why people
aren't beating down your doors wanting to help you? People will
help others who treat them with respect, not people who just get
their kicks from jerking others about.

You deal in facts (so you say), but can't be bothered to get the
facts for the silly arguments you use. Racing harnesses are not
illegal for street use in Australia; they are just not approved
for that use because nobody has wanted to pay the (large) fees
to gain the approval for something that makes no sense.
For normal street use, racing harnesses are in fact probably
more dangerous than standard belts, as they prevent you from
reaching for various controls in the cabin of your car that you
could easily reach while wearing a street belt. (My track car
has both kinds of belts, and I'd never contemplate using the
racing harness on the street.)

Yet another illustration of the attitude problem. If you want
people to pitch in, you need to give them the feeling that they
can be part of the team. Playing games "to see how much others
would contribute" is just not the way to go. As I've said
already, what CAcert needs is some leadership, not technical
geeks playing games.
I won't bother with the rest. This is already too long and
others have dealt with the other issues at length.
Cheers, Greg
